Lip Fillers

Lips are among the first to show the signs of ageing in the face. That’s why most people look for ways to improve the appearance of their lips, including getting lip fillers. These fillers immediately restore volume, hydration, structure, and balance to the lips.

Preparing for your treatment:

  • Stop using blood thinning medication 24-48hours before procedure (Warfarin or Aspirin, Ibuprofen, High dose Vitamin E, St. John’s Wort,Ginger and garlic supplements)

  • You should also avoiding drinking alcohol for 24-48 hours prior to your treatment, as it has blood-thinning properties that can make you more vulnerable to bruising and swelling after your treatment.

  • Do not use sunbeds, UV exposure, fake tanning products and any skin peels. You should also stop any retinol or retinoid topical treatments for 72 hours prior to and aesthetics treatment.

Lip Filler tip

Leave plenty of time for injectables prior to a big event, like a wedding.

Like everything associated with a big event, it’s all about planning!

It’s always best to start a new treatment well before a big event. We recommend that you allow at least 3 weeks for your cosmetic injectable treatment to settle. If you’re a first getting cosmetic injectables, we recommend 4-6 weeks or even more prior to the event.

Remember, every client is different, and results can vary between individuals.

Aftercare:

  • Swelling and bruising after lip filler treatment is completely normal and therefore the size of your lips immediately after treatment is not a true reflection of the final result.

  • Apply ice to treated area.

  • Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water.

  • Focus on eating healthy foods like fresh fruits & vegetables. The vitamins and minerals will assist with the healing process.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise and extreme hot temperatures for 24-48 hours post treatment.

  • Stay out of sun and use special lip balm.

  • Avoid heavy activity or exercise for the first two days after treatment.

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications, including aspirin and ibuprofen (unless prescribed by your medical practitioner then please continue with these).

  • Smoking and smoke exposure.

  • Avoid alcohol for 48 hours after procedure.

How long do lip fillers last?

Filler longevity depends on many factors, such as the individual’s skin type, skin condition, lifestyle and age, and the type and amount of product used. Generally speaking, lip filler can last anywhere between  6-12months. However, it’s important to note that everybody is different.

For best results, we recommend follow-up treatments every 6 to 12 months, depending on the individual and the product used.

It's not the first time I've visited Rimute, I had my lips done a year ago somewhere, and so far everything is holding up as well as possible and looks beautiful, I'm already thinking about a refill. I also had an unreal experience during the facial procedure, for me Rimute is the only one who really knows what she's doing, it certainly wasn't my last visit. Thank you very much! 💐💐
